Jim Moss’ practice includes representation of businesses and individuals in civil litigation in Alabama state and federal courts, including personal injury, product liability, wrongful death, fraud, employment law, premises liability, contract disputes and construction litigation.

Mr. Moss has advised clients regarding the negotiation and drafting of contracts, analysis of warranties, insurance coverage issues and applicable state and federal regulatory matters.  He has tried and arbitrated tort and contract cases to verdict or final decision.  Mr. Moss advises clients to minimize risk with an eye toward the best possible outcome in the event that litigation arises.  He has spoken to business and trade organizations regarding issues related to litigation, employment practices and a variety of issues related to federal and state regulatory issues.

Mr. Moss is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama.  He is a member of numerous local, state and national organizations, including the Alabama Defense Lawyer’s Association and the Defense Research Institute.  His publications include: "Responsible Parties in  Job Site Safety" Alabama Construction News, Vol. 12 No. 1 (Fall 2004); 33-34, published in the September 2006 issue of For the Defense.

Mr. Moss is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.  In 1998, he graduated from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.  Prior to attending law school, he worked in pharmaceutical sales as a sales representative for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Inc.   Additionally, he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1987 until 1993 when he received an honorable discharge.
